چکیده

Gamma-ray pulsar halos are ideal indicators of cosmic-ray propagation in localized regions the Galaxy and electron injection from wind nebulae. HESS~J1831$-$098 is a candidate halo observed by both H.E.S.S. HAWC experiments. We adopt flux map Galactic plane survey spectrum measurements \textit{Fermi}-LAT to study HESS~J1831$-$098. find that meets all criteria for halo. The diffusion coefficient inside conversion efficiency spin-down energy similar Geminga halo, canonical can be well described an exponentially-cutoff power law. However, needed power-law term very hard with $p\lesssim1$ if spatially temporally independent. Considering possible origins slow-diffusion environment, we two-zone model time-delayed model. Both models interpret results milder $p$. A modified time profile may have effect.

Discovery of a Pulsar Candidate Associated with the TeV Gamma-ray Source HESS J1813−178

We present a Chandra X-ray observation of G12.82−0.02, a shell-like radio supernova remnant coincident with the TeV gamma-ray source HESS J1813−178. We resolve the X-ray emission from the co-located ASCA source into a compact object surrounded by structured diffuse emission that fills the interior of the radio shell. The morphology of the diffuse emission strongly resembles that of a pulsar win...

The Gamma Ray Pulsar Population

We apply a likelihood analysis to pulsar detections, pulsar upper limits, and diffuse background measurements from the OSSE and EGRET instruments on the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory to constrain the luminosity law for gamma-ray pulsars and some properties of the gamma-ray pulsar population. We find that the dependence of luminosity on spin period and dipole magnetic field is much steeper at OS...

Gamma-Ray Pulsar Visibility

PSR J0437-4715 is a millisecond pulsar (MSP) thought to be “pair formation starved” (having limited pair cascades due to magnetic photon absorption). Fortunately the general relativistic (GR) electrodynamical model under consideration applicable to this pulsar have few free parameters. We model PSR J0437-4715’s visibility [1], using a 3D model which incorporates the variation of the GR E-field ...

Nustar Discovery of a Young, Energetic Pulsar Associated with the Luminous Gamma-ray Source Hess J1640−465

We report the discovery of a 206 ms pulsar associated with the TeV γ-ray source HESS J1640−465 using the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) X-ray observatory. PSR J1640−4631 lies within the shell-type supernova remnant (SNR) G338.3−0.0, and coincides with an X-ray point source and putative pulsar wind nebula (PWN) previously identified in XMM-Newton and Chandra images. It is spinnin...
